Slow Cooker Apple Butter

1 gal apple (enough to fill the crock pot)
1 C sugar, brown
½ C sugar
¼ C vinegar, apple cider
1 tsp cinnamon (ground)
½ tsp cloves (ground)
¼ tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Peel and slice your apples

  2. Put all of the apples into the slow cooker, putting a mixture of all of the other ingredients on top

  3. Cook on high for 1 hour

  4. Cook on low for another 10 hours or so (more or less to desired consistency)

  5. Fill jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace or so, wipe, and apply lid

  6. Process 10 minutes in boiling water canner
