Burned Tomatillo Salsa

This is a basic green salsa recipe
8 tomatillos
¼ onion
2 clove garlic
pepper, jalapeno to taste (perhaps 2 jalapenos - serranos or cayennes would work)
1.4 C cilantro
1 C water


Instructions

  1. Grill tomatillos and chilies. Tomatillos take about 10 minutes. They will char - that's good.

  2. Rinse loose skin off of chilies

  3. Blend everything together - if you want to peel off the thickest burnt spots off the tomatillos, that's OK
